hey Guys, Android Emulator is simulating Sensor Inputs.
Accelerometer, Compass and Orientation Sensors as well as Temperature Sensor in Android Emulator.
During my job at TechAccess Pakistan, When i was working on the GasterDialer application, there was the need of an android handset, i was asked by Sir Aziz to wait for a while. And, i come to see Google project code "Openintents" a sensor simulator for Android Devices.
On it's own the android emulator can't simulate physically moving the device, but with additional software, we can make it possible like Openintents-a sensor simulator.
Implementation:
1. Download the zip file and unpack it, and look for sensorsimulator.jar inside the bin folder.
2. Double click the jar file, it will run the senor simulator application by giving you the gui to control simulation.
3. In the bin folder, there is an .apk file, install it on your simulator.
4. Launch the SensorSimulator on the Emulator.
5. Enter same IP address and socket as shown in figure.
6. Now launch the Sensor Tab in the java simulator and choose the sensors you want to enable.
7. Press Connect to the emulator.
8. Try moving the SensorSimulator in the java simulator and enjoy simulation.
Time to Play:
Now, everything is running and installed, you can play accelerometer, compass and orientation sensors as well as temperature sensor.
